Fair Lakes Dental has been serving the greater Fairfax community since the year 2008. Our initial office in Burke, VA has been open since 2007. We are proud to provide state-of-the-art facilities for the highest quality dental care available. It is one of our top priorities to protect the well-being of our valued patients. For this reason, our office meets and surpasses all OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and CDC (Center for Disease Control) standards. We are confident that you will feel right at home in our office as we welcome all patients as if they were family.

Dr. Joseph Dehyar graduated from Temple University with Sum Laude Honor. He is a member of both the American Dental Association, and member of the American General Dentistry Society.
Prior to studying at Temple University School of Dentistry, he attended Temple University and received his B.S. in Biochemistry. Dr. Joseph Dehyar is the inventor of two patents in US and Europe. He also has a publication in cancer research using F.I.S.H. in gene function and analysis. Since he started practicing dentistry in 2005, Dr. Dehyar has kept up to date on continuing educational courses to ensure that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care.
Dr. Elham Dehyar graduated from Temple University in 2019 with Sum Laude Honors.
OUR SERVICES
Dental Fillings
​
When a tooth has a cavity, the underlying decay must be removed. Once it is painlessly removed, we place a white, tooth-colored filling known as a composite filling inside of the tooth. The tooth is then restored to its natural form and function.
Crowns and Bridges
​
A crown (or "cap") provides a full coverage restoration to a tooth that has a defective and large existing filling, a root canal, or been undermined by a large cavity. A bridge is a solution that can be used when a tooth is missing and other traditional treatment methods such as a partial denture or implant is not feasible.
Invisalign
Invisalign is a state-of the-art alternative to traditional braces. There are no metal brackets or wires. Instead, the system is based on clear "aligners" that are custom made just for you. These undetectable aligners are designed by a computer.
Implants

Implants are non-removable prosthesis that help restore form and function of missing teeth. The process of surgical implant placement and implant restoration has its own challenges for each patient, but our experienced staff can help guide you the entire way to your new smile.
Teeth Whitening
We offer both in-office and take home affordable whitening solutions for patients who want to brighten their smiles. What sets our practice apart is the education and tools we provide our patients with tools to maintain their whiter smiles.
Routine Exams
​
Periodic evaluations are necessary to determine your dental needs. Sometimes patients only visit the dentist when they are in pain. However, a lack of pain does not mean there are no issues. Regardless of when your last visit was, it is never too late to prioritize your oral health.
Dental Hygiene
Most patients are familiar with a cleaning every 6 months. Studies have shown, however, that the best hygiene recall period varies based on the patient. Some patients need to be seen as frequent as every 3 months. Together, we can develop a recall interval that best suits your needs.
Extractions
​
Our dentists remove impacted, damaged, and non-restorable teeth. We understand that patients are very nervous and anxious about having their teeth removed, and we do everything we can to make the procedure as calm and comfortable as possible.
Sleep Medicine
​
Oral appliance therapy is an effective treatment option for snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). An oral appliance fits over your teeth like an orthodontic retainer while you sleep and supports your jaw in a forward position to keep your airway open. A custom-fit oral appliance can improve your sleep, restore your alertness, and revitalize your health.
